OVERVIEW  

This course is designed for supervisors and managers who wish to optimize the performance of their workgroup. It begins by exploring personality types in the interest of helping the manager gain insights into their team composite and using this knowledge to develop approaches for improving performance. It also deals with best practices for handling performance problems, team-building, hiring, and providing effective feedback. The Performance Management Cycle is examined within the context of the Shared Management Model for maximizing results.. Additionally, a wide range of elements affecting peformance outcomes are examined and discussed.
