OVERVIEW

 

This workshop focuses on increasing attitudinal awareness and maintaining a positive perspective in the workplace.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

 

Participants who complete this workshop will:

 

·                     Take initiative and lead attitudinal changes through personal accountability.

·                     Inspire success strategies throughout the organization.

·                     Make decisions and set goals.

·                     Maintain a positive attitude before, during and after communications with difficult people.

·                     Eliminate self-imposed barriers and control self-sabotage.

·                     Maintain their own and others' self-esteem to promote a positive working attitude.

 

COURSE OUTLINE

 

1.       Introduction

·                     "You Always Have a Choice."  A look at personal accountability and personal power.

·                     "Blind Spots."  What are the blind spots directing your attitude?  Do you know?

 

2.       Principles & Techniques

·                     "Personal Attitude, Your Most Valuable Possession."  Your attitude speaks volumes about your personality and your character.  What information are you sending?

·                     "4F's:  The People Wheel."  Different styles invoke different reactions in people.  How to maintain your attitude when others are trying to wear you down.

·                     "Decision Making:  Goal Setting, Goal Getting."  Being clear about what you want and defining how to get it.  Setting measurable goals keeps your attitude focused and "on purpose".

·                     "Self-Sabotage:  Who Controls Me?"  Why sabotage exists and eliminating barriers and self-imposed restrictions for good.

·                     "Intentions Equal Results."  Attitudes and personal control begin and end with accountability.  What was your intention?  How did it mirror your result?

 

3.       Public Relations

·                     "R.E.S.P.E.C.T."  A closer look at the importance of integrity and gaining others' respect by first respecting Self.

·                     "Do Unto Others…"  Maintaining the self-esteem of others and influencing Win/Win outcomes.

 

4.       Closure

·                     "Opportunities Versus Challenges:  A Lifelong Journey."  A discussion on personal growth and challenges, and the need for maintaining your attitude everyday.
