This workshop explores the basics of financial statements, incorporating examples from your organization.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

 

Participants who complete this workshop will:

 

·                     Gain an overview of accounting principles to read financial reports.

·                     Identify the components of balance sheets and income statements, while identifying where they fit in the accounting process.

·                     Distinguish the concepts of asset and liability management.

·                     Explore the Accounting Cycle.

·                     Understand daily, monthly and yearly financial activities (eg. transactions, journal entries, posting and ledger accounts).
