OVERVIEW

 

This workshop addresses the needs of individuals who want to lead and inspire team members in the corporate world. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

 

Participants who complete this workshop will:

 

·                     Learn the key competencies of team leadership.

·                     Explore the five stages of group development and the ground rules for a highly effective team.

·                     Integrate the skills of others to create an optimum team environment.

·                     Develop their active listening and effective communication skills.

COURSE OUTLINE

 

 

1.       Introduction

·                     "Today, Tomorrow, Trends."  Motivation, Personal Leadership, and Interpersonal Communications.

 

2.       Principles

·                     "Group Rules."  Explore the five stages of group development and the ground rules for a highly effective team.

·                     "The Making of a Leader."  Setting the standards of leaders by establishing and defining key competencies, particularly, Effective Feedback, Coaching and Reward and Recognition.

 

3.       Practicum

·                     "Accountability."  How will you take ownership of the key competencies?  Are you 100 % responsible FOR yourself and TO others?

·                     "How Do You See Yourself?" This exercise uses feedback and self-reflection techniques. 

·                     "Values Chain." What's important to you?  Do your staff know?

·                     "Personality Profile".  Identify yours and others' personality types.  This exercise helps participants achieve success with other personality types, particularly their staff

·                     "Viva La Difference!" When you accept others, you will combine your skills with theirs for the most effective team environment. 

·                     "Active Listening."  Stay in the moment with the speaker.  A must for establishing mutual respect with staff. 

·                     "A Little R&R:  Reward and Recognition." 

 

4.       Closure

·                     "Unstoppable Performance."  Create a Personal Action Plan and keep the pace everyday.
