· Identify common workplace stressors and how to deal with them. · Discover accountability strategies and be responsible for their challenges and successes. · Learn how to be objective when others speak or react negatively. · Identify and manage stress as a cure and as prevention. · Learn and experience relaxation techniques. |

COURSE OUTLINE |

|
1. Introduction · "Stress, Who Me?" A look at the changing needs and pace of society. · Ice Breaker Exercise: "Where Are You At?" We all have stress in our lives. What is your stress level, relative to others?
2. Principles · "Common Workplace Stressors." In groups, participants have the opportunity to discuss stressors and brainstorm remedies. · "Stress and Values." Understanding the relationship between our values and behaviour. · "Personality Profile". Identify yours and others' personality types. Learn the tools to deal with the information, despite the manner in which the information was delivered. Achieve success with other personality types.
3. Techniques · "Managing Stress as a Cure." Focuses on what to do once stress is present. · "Managing Stress as a Prevention." Focuses on what to do to keep stress away everyday. · "Centering: A Lifelong Relaxation Technique." Experience a 12 minute technique to help you relax and keep the stressors at a safe distance. · "Priorities." Take care of your priorities and the little things take care of themselves. · "Lifestyles". A discussion on holistic success, focusing on health, wellness, support systems, rest, breaks, time-outs, and diet."
4. Closure · "Commit to Continuing Excellence." Looking ahead and keeping the pace everyday by developing a personal action plan.
