COURSE OUTLINE

1.       Introduction

·                     "Time is a Resource."  Time is a finite resource.  How do you choose which tasks to complete?

·                     "The Big Rocks."  Are you trying to make everything "fit" or should some things stay off your agenda?

2.       Processes

·                     Handout and Small Group Discussion:

·                     "Dealing With Time Wasters."  Generated from two sources:  Self and the Environment.  What are your preferred strategies?

·                     "The Time Keeper."  Who controls your time?  Do you know?  Participants complete a personal daily log and are asked to judge necessity, appropriateness, and efficiency of daily events and tasks.

·                     "Test of Time."  How effective is your use of time?

·                     "Energy Cycles."  Personal energy has peaks and valleys.  Are you using your time effectively at the optimum time?

3.       Principles

·                     "Priorities."  Mistaken urgency is the easiest trap to fall into.  What's really important?

·                     "S.M.A.R.T. Goals."  Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time Targeted to promote long-term "Big Rocks" planning.

·                     "Business Simulation:  Learn Through Experience."  What would you do differently?
