COURSE OUTLINE |
|
|
1. Introduction · "Time is a Resource." Time is a finite resource. How do you choose which tasks to complete? · "The Big Rocks." Are you trying to make everything "fit" or should some things stay off your agenda?
2. Processes · Handout and Small Group Discussion: · "Dealing With Time Wasters." Generated from two sources: Self and the Environment. What are your preferred strategies? · "The Time Keeper." Who controls your time? Do you know? Participants complete a personal daily log and are asked to judge necessity, appropriateness, and efficiency of daily events and tasks. · "Test of Time." How effective is your use of time? · "Energy Cycles." Personal energy has peaks and valleys. Are you using your time effectively at the optimum time?
3. Principles · "Priorities." Mistaken urgency is the easiest trap to fall into. What's really important? · "S.M.A.R.T. Goals." Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time Targeted to promote long-term "Big Rocks" planning. · "Business Simulation: Learn Through Experience." What would you do differently?
4. Closure · "Personal Action Plan." Planning for improved time utilization, today and tomorrow.
